THE AEROBIC MYTH

Just before reading this think, when was the last time you saw a TV slot or a newspaper article on fitness and weight loss? All the images and information were showing people on treadmills, crosstrainners or throwing kettle bells around etc etc.
Well here's the good news, you don't need to spend hours and hours doing that stuff and here's the facts why!
Performing one hour of cardio will burn about 500/600 calories. But what most people don't know is one pound of fat is 3,500 calories. Thats probably about enough to keep you going for about 5/6 hours activity per pound. Do you fancy doing 5 hours of activity day after day to just lose a pound or two? No, no normal person would. But imagine you do, for a few years. You'd be visiting a physio twice a week (Aint cheap) You could even find yourself waiting for a nice new hip or knee joint due to over use and pounding the roads. All this activity will take its toll on your body. Not to say don't have a jog, ride a bike or have a swim, do. But unless your a athlete in the activities keep them for what they're for, recreation activities.
